0213South: Commercial Burglary@600 block Sierra Rose

Officers responded to an alarm and discovered the front door had been busted and merchandise stolen. Total loss is unknown and there are no suspect(s) descriptions at this time.

0549South: Arrest - Commercial Burglary@2000 block South Virginia Street

Officers responded to a report that a suspect was inside of a closed business. As Officers arrived the suspect exited the building and was taken into custody. John Ferrugia, DOB 12/6/1970, was arrested on the above charge.

0609North: Arrest - Residential Burglary/Grand Larceny@9000 block Pelican Pointe Dr.

Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary in progress. The suspects were gone upon their arrival but were located a short time. Two suspects, both juveniles, were arrested on the above charges.

1351Central: Arrest - Poss. of a Stolen Motor Vehicle@1000 block Sutro Street

Officers responded to a report that a victim had just located his stolen vehicle. Upon their arrival the suspect fled at a high rate of speed, then crashed the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Christian Dela Cruz, DOB 8/7/1994, was arrested on the above charge.

Officers responded to a report of a subject chasing cars, throwing trash cans, and threatening passersby. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect but he refused to comply and then attempted to flee. Brett Sero, DOB 4/7/1986, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded to a report of a Battery and made contact with the suspect. Upon contact with the suspect he became non compliant and confrontational.  Mitchell Davison, DOB 9/26/1968, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded to an alarm and discovered entry had been made and business equipment had been stolen. Total loss is unknown. The suspect is only described as: Unknown race, unknown sex, LSW a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark shoes.

0050North: Arrest - BDW, Stabbing@10000 block Stead Blvd.

Officers responded to a report of a fight involving a weapon and discovered a victim with several stab wounds. The victim was transported with non-life threatening injuries. Officers located the suspect a short time later. William Bounty, DOB 9/25/1985, was arrested on the above charge.

The victim entered the residence to find the suspects inside. When confronted the suspects fled with the property. The suspects are described as: #1 H/M/A, mid twenties to mid thirties, thin build, LSW the stolen leather jacket and blue jeans. #2 W/F/A, or H/F/A, no further.

The suspect was combative with medical personnel and deliberately kicked Officers who responded to assist. Charles Schadle, DOB 8/31/1952, was arrested on the above charges.

0103Central: Arrest - PCS@600 block North Wells Ave.

Officers responded to report of a fight and made contact with the suspects. During the investigations they learned the suspects were in possession of a controlled substance. Erwin Gomez-Navarro, DOB 2/29/2000, was arrested on the above charge as well as O&R. Davin Krumm, DOB 7/29/2001, was arrested on the above charge as well as PCS for Sales, Minor in Poss. of Alcohol, and Contributing to a Minor.

0645South: Strong Arm Robbery@2000 block Yori Ave.

The victim and suspects were together at the above address when one of the suspects simulated he and the others had guns and stole the victims money. The victim then fled the area. The suspects are only described as: a White male adult and a Hispanic male adult.

The victim returned to find someone had broken into his vehicle and stole his property. The victim attempted to confronted a subject who was standing nearby but she fled. Officers located the suspect a short time later but she refused to cooperate or follow their commands. Kelly Whitney, DOB 3/2/1961, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded for a report of a battery and destruction of property. The juvenile suspect was detained by Officers.

Saturday, March 14, 2020

1349                       North: ADW with gun @5200 blk W. 7th St.

The victim and her elderly mother were leaving a store at this location, when a vehicle driving in the parking lot began to honk at them as they walked. A verbal altercation ensued between the victim and the female driver. During this time, the male passenger of the vehicle stepped out and pointed a gun at the victim while threatening to shoot her. Officers contacted the suspect who admitted his involvement. He was subsequently arrested for ADW and a firearm was recovered.

1812                       North: ADW Arrest @7500 blk Seymour Avenue

Officers responded to the above address on a report of civil dispute between neighbors that led to one neighbor brandishing a firearm. Investigation revealed that an argument ensued between the defendant and both victims, which resulted in the suspect entering his residence and retrieving a loaded .22 semi automatic handgun.  The defendant then came out of his residence and pointed the firearm at both victims while continuing to argue.  Officers on scene made contact with the defendant who admitted to pointing the firearm at both victims.  The defendant was subsequently arrested for ADW and the firearm used in the incident was recovered.

Officers responded for a report of a domestic battery. The suspect was ultimately arrested and booked into WC jail without incident.

Officers responded to the listed address on report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and the investigation showed the Defendant got into an argument with the victim. After the argument the Defendant grabbed a shotgun with the intent to intimidate the victim.

Officers responded to the listed address on the report of a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival a male answered the door, failed to follow officer commands and immediately ran to a nearby bedroom.  When officers contacted the suspect again he began trying to retrieve and item from his pocket. Officers were able to take him into custody. The suspect was found to be in possession of a trafficking amount of heroin

0103                       Central: O&R, PCS Marijuana under 21, @600 blk N. Wells Ave

Officers responded to the listed location on the report of a fight. Upon arrival numerous adults and juveniles were located inside the room.  Several juveniles were cited for Minor in consumption and released to their guardians. One adult male was cited and released but refused to leave the scene. The cited male  began trying to contact two other adult males that were in custody in the back of police cars.  The male was told to leave several times and became aggressive with officers. The male then walked to the back of on of the patrol cars and appeared to be trying to open the door where a prisoner was. The male and was then taken into custody for O&R.

1039                       Central: Possession of stolen property @900 blk Riverside Dr

Officers responded for a vehicle burglary. The RP returned to his vehicle and noticed the driver’s side door open and his property missing. The RP observed a female standing near the truck and confronted her about the burglary. Officers located the female suspect who refused to cooperate, refused verbal commands and was taken into custody. All property was recovered.

The suspect was driving behind the victim when the victim saw the suspect produce a gun and point it at him before driving away. The suspect is described as: Light skinned male, full beard, LSW sunglasses and a beanie.

The victim and suspect were involved in an altercation when the suspect produced a knife and threatened the victim. Michael Cotner, DOB 1/28/1984, was arrested on the above charge.

Officers were in the area when they heard several shots being fired. They located several casings but there were no reported injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

1007South: Arrest - DOP/BDW, Rock@Casazza & Liston

Officers responded to a report of a subject throwing rocks at cars. Upon arrival they learned the suspect had broken windows in a residence and thrown a rock at a victim striking him in the head. Joshua Weller, DOB 9/2/1985, was arrested on the above charges.

The suspect was combative with staff who were treating her at a local hospital and then become physically uncooperative with Officers as they were taking her into custody. Shawna Roseman, DOB 2/4/1990, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded to a report of a possible battery. When they made contact with the suspect he attempted to flee and refused their verbal commands. The suspect was found to be in possession of a converted Flair Gun and dangerous drug. Jimmy Guillen, DOB 7/5/1964, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded to a report of a fight. During the investigation they learned the suspect was in possession of stolen property. Joseph Drummond, DOB 5/28/1988, was arrested on the above charge.

The victim was approached from behind by the suspect who grabbed her purse. When the victim attempted to hold on to the purse she was knocked to the ground and then the suspect stole her jewelry. The suspect is described as: B/M/A, early twenties, skinny build, LSW all black.

The victims and suspect are known to each other. Today the suspect broke into a room the victims were in and then threatened them with a crowbar. Upon taking the suspect into custody Officers discovered she was in possession of a controlled substance. Melissa Wing, DOB 6/26/1984, was arrested on the above charges.

2308                       North: Reckless Driving, Trafficking,  PCS, Possession of Burglary Tools, O&R, @800 blk Ryan Lane
Officers observed a gold Honda without plates at Keystone and 7th Street and noted one was recently reported stolen.  The vehicle made several erratic turns into a neighborhood and ran two stop signs.   The Defendant stopped on the lawn of residence and fled the vehicle.   Officers gave the Defendant commands as he ran towards them and he did not comply.  He was eventually taken into custody and over 60 grams of methamphetamine was seized.

0413                       Central: Battery On A Police Officer @100 blk E. Second St

Officers responded to a downtown bar on a report of a fight involving several people. On scene, an Officer met with the suspect, who was grossly intoxicated. The Officer escorted the suspect to a patrol vehicle. While attempting to place the suspect in the back seat, she began resisting and eventually kneed the Officer in the groin.

The victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect produced a knife and threatened the victim as well as other subjects in the residence and refused to let them leave. As Officers were taking the suspect into custody she became combative. Diana Lopez, DOB 2/16/1989, was arrested on the above charges.

The victim was approached by the suspect who was known to her. The suspect produced a gun and threatened the victim. The suspect then battered the victim, and stole her property before fleeing. The suspects identity is known but is still outstanding.

Reno Police Investigate Murder-Suicide in South Reno

Reno, NV—On March 4th, 2020 at approximately 1104 hours, Reno Police Officers responded to the 10000 blk of Canyon Country Ct, on a report of a deceased subject. Subsequent investigation revealed three other deceased subjects within the residence that are believed to be members of the same family who reside there. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

The identities of those involved are currently being withheld pending confirmation by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office.

1150Central: Arrest - PCS/Ex-Felon in Poss. of a Firearm/O&R @300 block North Arlington Ave.

Officers learned the location of a suspect who was wanted by another jurisdiction. Upon taking the suspect into custody they discovered he was in possession of narcotics and an gun. Randy Chew JR, DOB 2/18/1987, was arrested on the above charges.

Officers responded to a report of a possible vehicle burglary. The suspect was gone upon their arrival but was located a short distance away. During the investigation they learned the vehicle had been stolen. Dylan Hallas, DOB 4/18/1991, was arrested on the above charge.
